Re:ERUA Gendered Innovation Training Programs

The University of the Aegean, in the framework of the Re-ERUA project, has produced educational material entitled “Gendered Innovation Training and Mentoring Programme”, which is publicly available and offers knowledge and tools to enhance the positive social impact of technology and innovation. The training activities are delivered asynchronously, through digital courses and workshops, focusing on issues related to gender equality in the family, politics and the workplace, bringing together women from the business world, academia, government (innovation actors) and social actors such as NGOs, refugees/migrants.

In the framework of the same initiative, the University of the Aegean organized the Digital Conference on Gendered Innovation, on 18-19 September 2024, where initiatives that link innovation with diversity and gender equality were presented and discussed. The conference addressed both member institutions of the European Reform University Alliance ERUA and its research arm Re:ERUA, as well as stakeholders, bringing together academia, the business and industrial community, government and social actors and communities to present and discuss experiences and views on Gendered Innovation and its practices.

The above actions are carried out in the framework of Re:ERUA -the research arm of the European Alliance for University Reform (ERUA), WP 4: “The Alliance as an engine for Human Capital” which is coordinated by the University of the Aegean, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (pact no. 101035808) by researchers, administrators and experts from the University of the Aegean (Greece) in collaboration with the University of Paris8 (France), Roskilde University (Denmark), the University of Konstanz (Germany) and the New University of Bulgaria (Bulgaria).
